Meet the Founder: Jamie Sutter

Gentle Touch Assisted Living was created after working in Long Term Care and recognizing that there was abundant need for change, not just another company offering the same average care cashing in on clients and their families.

I, myself, am a privileged front line worker and also work with many clients and families, I am personally involved in overseeing every client Gentle Touch Assisted Living cares for and I am one of the first lines of contact for our families and staff.

In offering private care, we communicate, collaborate, and support, we are your eyes and ears when you cannot be there. Our loyalty has always been with the families we care for, regardless of where care takes place. Gentle Touch has always been committed to transparency and high standards and therefore have always allowed there to be an open line of communication between the families and the personal support worker caring for your loved one.

We are always pushing ourselves – to learn, to develop, to find a better way and we strive to help not only our clients, but our staff grow, encouraging them to stretch and do more than they might have thought possible.

GTAL is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Continuity is very important. We aim to provide the same consistent PSW to work with each individual client; providing stability, reliability and familiar care while building strong companionship based on comfort and trust.

Encouraging Independence

We promote self-reliance in whatever ways are possible and comfortable for our clients. Our team includes PSW’s, RPN’s and RN’s that are licensed, insured, CPR / First Aid Certified, meet a Vulnerable Sector Clearance and specially trained to encourage mobility with safety precautions in place. Our care director is here to support our clients’ choices keeping family and friends updated to any changes to the daily routines.

Enabling Freedom of Choice

Options are a way of life. We provide several types of duties along with the option to plan an outing to places of worship, doctor appointments or just a simple walk in the park – just like they’ve always done. These options would be assessed on an individual basis.

Communication

We encourage family and friends to maintain constant contact with our clients. In addition to our services, we include the option for you to use FREE VIDEO CALLING at each and every visit. Communicating openly and regularly with family members gives your loved one the confidence they need while ensuring we provide you with the best care achievable and exceed your expectations.
